Hello! I’m Valerie — a devoted mother, aspiring author, and retired scientist (along with other identities including friend, dancer, traveler, hiker, volunteer, seeker). After retiring from my 30-year career as a public health scientist and environmental engineer (27 with the U.S. EPA), I am now excited about a new writing career. I’m interested in telling thought-provoking, inspiring stories about women, drawing from my own rich life’s experiences.
